Cora Byers

Practice Manager

Cora graduated from Chapman University with a dual degree in Business Administration and Environmental Science and Policy. After working  for a sustainable business consulting firm in West Seattle she quickly realized she was more interested in the intersection of environmental pollution and human health. When a close family member was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, she became even more driven to find answers.

She became a clinical care coordinator at the Sophia Health Institute and at Holistique Medical Center where she worked directly with Dr. Nakisbendi along with other practitioners. At both clinics, Cora was instrumental in developing and implementing protocols and procedures enabling patients to have easier access to lab kits, medications, supplements etc.

Initially, Cora thought she would become a medical practitioner, going as far as taking her pre-med requirements and MCATs. While she enjoyed learning about medicine she recognized how important the administrative support was to patients accessing proper care. Patients could be seeing the best physicians with the best protocols but if there wasn’t a system in place to properly execute these protocols it wouldn’t matter. More importantly, Cora recognized her core skill set in developing these systems.

After six years working together, Cora envisioned a medical practice that incorporated allopathic and naturopathic care equally, providing in- person and telehealth visits. She was instrumental in establishing (very quickly) NakisbendiMD, PLLC in Bellevue, WA. Because she always strives for the best, Cora also wanted patients to have access to  online platforms with extensive educational resources. When she learned of the ReCODE program she quickly recognized the extensive value of their online platform. Once again, Cora swiftly developed and implemented NakisbendiMD’s ReCODE and PreCODE programs which is now being offered.

Cora strives to provide the best individualized care and support for patients and caregivers as they navigate the complexities of the medical world.

She can be found at Crystal Mountain in all seasons with her family and her puppy Moose.
