Avery was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington, in 2019. She began her nursing career in Labor & Delivery, but shortly after entering practice, she faced a life-changing health challenge. After becoming severely ill and searching for answers, Avery was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Her personal experience navigating chronic complex illness ignited a deep passion for root-cause medicine and patient advocacy.
Avery's career in integrative medicine began as a holistic infusion nurse at Sophia Health Institute and Holistique Medical Center, where she worked alongside Dr. Nakisbendi. She later served as Nurse Manager at Rejuvenate Wellness Center in Olympia, Washington. Throughout her career, Avery has specialized in the development, administration, and monitoring of advanced infusion therapies. She also played a key role in developing the Supportive Oligonucleotide Therapy (SOT) program at Holistique Medical Center.
Known for her compassionate approach and dedication to patient-centered care, Avery has always been a strong advocate for her patients. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate complex health challenges, empowering them to ask questions, explore root causes, and seek the care they need to achieve better outcomes.
Today, Avery serves as a ReCODE Certified Practitioner and Nurse Coach at NakisbendiMD. With extensive experience supporting patients with chronic and complex illnesses, she is committed to helping individuals improve their quality of life through personalized, evidence-informed care. Through the PreCODE and ReCODE programs, she works closely with patients to prevent and address cognitive decline while optimizing overall health and wellness.
Her clinical expertise includes identifying and addressing factors that contribute to chronic disease, including inflammation, environmental toxins, mold exposure, heavy metals, metabolic dysfunction, nutritional deficiencies, and immune dysregulation. By combining her functional medicine training with a holistic nursing approach, Avery helps patients uncover the root causes of their symptoms and create sustainable paths toward healing.
